Manual: Ban Tab

The ban tab is and continues to be the focus of the HawkSync Server Manager. A lot of effort was put into place to ensure that administrators of game servers can enjoy sit back and just play.

Blacklist & Whitelist

Allows the control of not just the player names and IP address of specific players, but as well range of IP addresses. If you block a range but have a specific player you wish to still have access, the whitelist will allow you to specify Player Names and IP addresses to let through.

This is all based on these two panels alone work regardless of other configurations. To prevent spamming of the console, the ban occurs once the player has a reported ping count.

Proxy Checking

Allows you to monitor and check the connecting IP addresses in-game and the default actions once detected. Nation Wide Blocks/Whitelists can be applied, by specifying the Country Code (Country Name is only for reference) that you wish to block or allow.

Additional Service Providers can be added in future releases and a feature request should be made.

NetLimiter Tab

This tab allows you to connect to an existing NetLimiter installation, either locally or on another device that may control the connections to the game server. The purpose of this is to monitor the literal connections to the server/game client before it reaches the game server application itself. Blocking this way removes any potential crashes to the game server itself from packet injections and other malice connectivity. This also stops outgoing connections to blacklisted IP addresses where players using Novaworld to have the game server initialize the connection.
